Event Description
The hour-long event will highlight the need for health systems to develop new and more robust approaches for improving equity in healthcare through the lens of the COVID-19 pandemic, with its stark racial disparities in illness, death, and healthcare access, and the concurrent social injustices witnessed in 2020. Dr. Swayze and Father Abernathy will discuss innovative approaches and partnerships UPMC and the Neighborhood Resilience Project have implemented to help our most vulnerable communities during 2020. They will also share their thoughts on how to find scalable and sustainable solutions as we enter the post-pandemic world.
